Mawiomi Treamtent Center is committed to a fully client-centred approach in the healing experience and continuum of care for each of its residents. Since 2022 we have accepted clients who are on opioid agonist therapies (OAT) such as Suboxone/Methadone/Kadian. Introduction

Mawiomi Treamtent Center Inc. is a seven (7) bed residential treatment center located in the First Nation community of Gesgapegiag, Gaspésie (Québec). Our center offers a seven (7) week structured treatment program for chemical dependencies and has incorporated the "Harm Reduction Model" of treatment with an emphasis on Mi'g Maq culture, values and traditions. In addition, we provide individual counselling, group circles, videos, discussions and teachings. We approach treatment in the same way as our ancestors in a holistic (emotional, spiritual, physical, mental) manner designed to address the individuals' needs.
